Velentines day cards

Last Saturday I had my first card event of the year and it was a blast. Since Valentines is around the corner I decided to make it a V-day card class. The cards were cute and everyone that came did an awesome job too. I just love making cards and also sharing that love with other people!

Snow day

This weekend we spent it in fellowship with our really good friends and committee members at their cabin up north in Forrest Lakes, AZ. It was a wonderful time enjoying nature and away from the rest of the world. I love nature because I feel like God whispers in my ear and tells me "Be still and know that I am God" Psalms 46:10. My heart felt happy to see my 17 month old enjoy nature as much as we did. Even though she was freezing and was super padded with clothes it did not stop her from going out side and play. I know she loved it. We went sledding which was not Olivia's favorite but I enjoyed watching my Olive and her daddy come down the hill. We attempted to make a snow man but quit after our ball looked more like an egg. The rest of the time we spent it hanging out with our friends Brian and Teresa. What a great weekend!

Lately I have spent some of my free time searching for DIY(do it yourself) blogs. I love when people share ideas, tips and advice on how to do and make things. Especially right now that I just got my sewing machine I have been inspired to try so many things. A dress for Juanita

The cover that came with my Juanita(my sewing machine) was so plain and boring I just had to make her a new pretty dress. I came across this blog that shows how to make covers for your machines. I was on a mission! Using left over fabric from the Ikea curtains I have in my room I was able to make the cover and did not have to spend a dime. After I made the cover I just felt like it was missing something than I came across this other cool blog that taught you to make frayed rosettes using fabric. After a few day I finally made this..

The Zoo

Yesterday we went to the zoo for the first time and it was alot of fun. I love being outdoors and for Olivia to see things. I remembered loving the zoo as a little girl so now I get to shared that love for animals with my Olive. Thankfully The Phoenix Zoo is only 20 minutes away! We will be there more often I hope.


My Olivia had so much fun I loved it.

This was just my favorite animal of the day. We got lucky that they let us get so close and take pictures because I guess most of the time they hide. Thanks Mr. Monkey

What a fun day!

Hello 2010

Wow what a year! Many good times and some bad times but in all it was such a fun year full of God's blessings. Looking forward to see what God has for us this 2010. I have never been a resolution setter this year my husband and I came up on a few things we would love to work on. Here is our list..
